During these challenging times that we are currently faced with, the one question that keeps me thinking positively is “What can I do differently?” I’m really tired of all the negativity in the world and I personally feel it does nothing but diminish productivity and the joy of everyday life.
Being an industrial property specialist in Port related logistics I am constantly seeking new ways to bring my clients, both landlords and tenants, new and innovative solutions. If the standard approach is finding the right space for the right company, then innovation would be designing the right space by being creative with what is available.
Finding the perfect warehouse is by no means easy. This is a challenge that I am faced with on a daily basis. However, because the design of the warehouse is so vital to the performance of the entire supply chain it is critically important to listen to a client’s needs and then think carefully about the physical space that these needs will be manifested in.
The process is impacted by a wide range of factors. Location is but one. As an expert in my field I need to fully understand my client’s supply chain. This will provide the information necessary to make an informed decision about what warehousing space would best suit their business. The next step is understanding the landlord’s willingness to accommodate the potential tenant’s unique needs.
